Marc Galo is a Belgian guitar player and composer living in Brussels. He is currently leading a sextet with Ben Okri, Emile Vertraeten (violin), Thomas Lux (cello), Toine Thys (bass clarinet), Claude Tchamitchian (bass) for the  ‘After Gilgamesh’ project.
Marc played with Adrien Lambinet, Jan Rewefski, Sarah Murcia, Claude Tchamitchian, Antoine Prauwerman, Thomas Lux, Isnelle Da Silveira, Nico Nijholt, Véronique Delmelle, Adrienne Altenhaus, Chris Defoort, Jean Yves Evrard, Christophe Morisset, John Snauwaert, Luc van Lieshout, etc.

After Gilgamesh




Inspired by the famous epic of Gilgamesh this performance invites to reflect on life and death, on how the certainty of death influences our lives and on the human hope for life after death. Music and words tell the story in five stages, from the perspective of the 5 characters described in the original tale.
